Live Client
Dr Susan Liggett
Reader in Art and Design
Head of the Media Art and Design Research Centre
I was asked on Friday 20nd March, 2015 to create 2
posters:
-
ITA(15) Art
Exhibition and Expo
-
Art,
Design, Science, Technology and Applications –
Interface Issues,
Challenges and Opportunities
These were
posters for Dr Susan Liggett and receiving the email I responded straight away
and was able to meet up with the client to find out the details for the posters
such as colour, layout, shape, and text.
This was a
great opportunity for me to be working for a live client that wanted my skills
to create something specific to her.
I was very committed and motivated putting all the time I had into it,
being professionally independent and directing myself. Managing time
effectively by being organized and focused.
I personally find myself working better in a professional environment which
gives me the drive for the future, by doing so I was able to operate
effectively to meet the clients need.
There was no problem in communicating since we would meet in person but
since we were both busy most of the time places to be, email was the best
option where it was best to communicate ideas and concepts through email and
easy to communicate solutions to design problems through analysing and annotations
what needed to be changed where I would respond back on the same day with new
ideas and concepts which Susan was happy about.
We would also have meeting where we would have the posters out in front
and analyse it for any defaults to be changed which I would change straight
away to the client’s needs.
Created the
website icon.

To Whom it May
Concern
I am very
impressed with the two leaflet designs Anthony has created for the ITA(15)
Conference Call at Glyndwr University in September 2015. The leaflets match the
brief I gave him very well and were exactly the sort of designs needed to catch
the eye of a creative audience. Anthony was very reliable and kept to the very
tight deadline. He was very personable and responded amicable to my suggestions
and was very willing to make the many small changes needed to get the text and
design just right.
These leaflets
are to be sent to artists and academics in other universities nationally and
internationally to invite them to submit proposals for two events for the
Internet Technologies and Applications ITA(15) conference. These events are an
Exhibition/ Expo and a Workshop on “Art, Design, Science, Technology and
Applications – Interface Issues, Challenges and Opportunities”. The leaflets
will go on the conference website, the Media Art and Design Research Website
and be mailed out to artists and academics via jismail, an online
educational/research community.
I would not
hesitate to recommend Anthony Matthews as a graphic designer.
